I got my nails done about every two weeks when carol and I carpooled to Earlimart. She would give me grief about it—fast forward a few years AND WHO IS GETTING THEIR NAILS DONE…Miss Carol and when I give her grief she ignores me and doesn’t know what I’m talking about ;-)
We went out to grab something to eat and carol shared how years back she’d go into a hamburger place and say she wanted a burrito, knowing they did not serve any, the order taking would say that that wasn’t served here to which she’d reply…ok, then I’ll have a burrito . This would go on a few more time when FINALLY after not being able to hold in the laughter at the server getting upset she’d settle for a burger.
(Even Tom remembered this story. )
We LOVE YOU Carol

Carol, there are so many stories to share. But I’m going to begin with two of my favorite. You and I would meet before school at McDonald’s every so often. And we would take Turns decorating the table. And sometimes we brought special treats. We had fancy cups, napkins , and plates. We even had centerpieces, depending on what we were celebrating. Sometimes we were just celebrating to be together. One time we even lit candles.
Second story. I had to have my foot operated on, and they had to put a rod in it. I had just begun being a math coach at Earlimart middle school. You would come by in Tulare and pick me up in your car. The seat would be warmed. You would have a donut for me and a Pepsi or Dr Pepper. I can’t remember. I felt so special.
I have many more memories and stories, but I will begin with these two.

Oh my gosh the laughs I had with Carol. She was so good at what she did. If it’s not too late, please give Carol a hug and much love from Linda Brandt.
Love to you too, Kathy Ashford, for taking such loving care of Carol.

When I think of Carol - I think of how she gave the biggest … warmest hugs. They were so comforting and supportive. Someone give her one from me. This is so sad.
From Deirdre
